Working script for Preliminary Task

Interior scenes - Descriptions

Shot 1 - In this mid-shot a boy is walking away from the camera down the stairs towards a closed door.

Shot 2 - In this point of view shot the boy is still walking down the stairs towards a closed door.

Shot 3 - In this close up shot the camera will be focusing on the boys feet as he is walking towards the door.

Shot 4 - This shot will be a long shot of the boy slowly approaching the door.

Shot 5 - This shot is a point of view shot as the boy opens the door and walks through into the living room.

Shot 6 - Shot 6 is a twin mid shot of the son and dad talking and a table.

Shot 7 - Shot 7 is an over the shoulder shot as the dad is telling him off.

Shot 8 - This shot is a close up reaction shot of the son reacting to what his dad is saying to him.

Shot 9 - This shot is a tracking shot of the son is running out of the room.

Shot 10 - This last shot is a long shot zooming in as the dad sits on the stairs to comfort the son.

Son = Jack

Dialogue

Tony – ok officer, thank you for letting me know

Jack!!! Can you come down stairs please!! . (sounding serious)

Jack – Yeah I’m coming.

(Jack goes downs the stairs)

Jack – Ye?

Tony – Sit down. The police just called! (pause) (Do you have something to tell me?

Jack –No.

Tony – Are you sure? Well according to the police you have been up to a lot more than you are letting on. Explain that to me?

Jack – (Silence, he just shrugs his shoulder)

Tony – The police want to speak to you tomorrow, you’re in a LOT of trouble.

(Jack runs out of the room)

(Tony goes to comfort him)

Jack – They made me do it. It wasn’t my fault!

Tony – well we will find out tomorrow, wont we?
